After almost two and a half months in Perth, Cirque du Soleil finished its Australian tour. Really sad moment for everyone as we all knew it would be the last time we would see each other. All the staff would be leaving and going their separate ways. Definitely bitter sweet! Many would be going home, however for me it would mean I would finally be traveling Australia and no more working! I flew to Sydney with some of my old housemates. Sydney is my first stop on my East Coast adventure!

Upon arrival to Sydney it was cold!! You would think someone from Canada would be able to handle it, but its pretty chilly! Thought Australia was suppose to be warm! The next day I got to do some sightseeing with my friend Juan. Took a walk in the city and got to see the main tourist sites like the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Botanic Gardens. The city is quite large with an array of shops and restaurants. have to say it is one of the prettiest cities I’ve seen so far. Nice to be back in a city atmosphere, since Perth was so small in comparison.

However the rest if the days in Sydney were a bit of a waste! None stop rain! I moved out of Vancouver because of the rain! Grrrr. This is what I get though for coming to Sydney in the middle of winter. I have missed out on some of the things I wanted to do in Sydney because it was way to wet. The Harbour Bridge Climb and the Coogee to Bondi Walk I never got a chance to do! Boohoo! Oh well I guess it means I just have to come back!

My cousin did take me on a little drive to Bondi. So sweet of her!! I got to see Bondi from the car but not up close.
I did however take a ferry to Manly Beach. It was an extremely choppy ferry ride. The beach was very nice, wished I was only there in summer. There was still quite a few surfers, and they were all wearing wet suits (I don’t blame them).

Since it has been so rainy and miserable I have decided to keep on moving north of the coast! Next stop will be Byron Bay. Lets hope it is warm, I need sun! I will be suffering an eleven hour bus ride tomorrow, starting at 7am. Ugh!
